dearest mutuals & followers, i’ve promised to go on a slovenia-italy-france roadtrip this august, & i’d v much welcome your tips & advice!! we’ll def be stopping in venice, florence, ravenna, cannes, marseille, and aix-en-provence (i’m not sure about the exact order so please bear with me) with regular beach stops - everything else is being discussed atm, so if you can think of anything,, inbox or messages are open!!

  2. savantasse said: “Cowardly vegetarian” is so me hahaha but sometimes I make an exception when meat is biologic (“nostrana”), like in most Tuscan restaurants 😊

    The ideal itinerary in Italy would be Venice-Ravenna-Florence and then the Mediterranean coast…About Venice, I suggest...
  5. bironism said: @thecynical-idealist oh, i do at times catch myself thinking of the venture as my grand tour, and even if i didn’t,,, the pictures that came up in my search are beyond words, thank you so much for these suggestions!! <333 ****
  6. thecynical-idealist said: You should definitely visit Lago Maggiore in Italy!! (Which is also my 🏠 btw) You’d love it! Especially Isola Bella with its Palace (it has caves made with black and white stones). Also Stresa and Arona. All these places were among the destinations of the wealthy young people of the past, when they had their Grand Tour 🌹
  7. bironism said: @lebruitlafureur (oh no worries, i’ll be pardoning my french the entire stay there, & unlike you, for good reasons indeed;;) WOW, now that’s a destination quite worth the trek!! *heart eyes* i so hope we’ll manage to squeeze this in, & thank you so much for your tips!! <33
  8. lebruitlafureur said: Marseille can be quite sketchy indeed, you’ll want to stay on the main axes. But if you go there, you must visit the Vallon des Auffes and if you have the courage, you can trek trough the calanques. I’ll let you Google it, they’re definitely worth the sweat you’ll break on the way. (sorry for l'anglais douteux)
  9. bironism said: @ch-eska uffizi is a must!! 💕 idk yet if we’ll have more time in florence - do i wish though!! depends on where we sleep that night at this point,,
  10. noturmuse said: Florence is a dream, but only the old town. If you’re staying longer than a day there, I suggest going to the Uffizi gallery one day and then touring the rest of the city another day, or if you have time, on the same day. I didn’t go to Ravenna but I drove past it and it’s absolutely beautiful. All those little seaside towns are full of treasures. You’ll love it!!
  11. bironism said: @taciturnabysse thank you sm, i’m writing the two down!! ❤💐 i’ve suspected something like that about cannes but now, the fur coat watching sound quite fun;;
  12. anachoretism said: Marseille is seriously sketchy, and Cannes is boring (IMHO), but you can make fun of the very rich ladies wearing fur coats year-round on the bus.
  13. anachoretism said: Aix-en-Provence: the flower market and a vintage shop called Blow up!
