to be fair, slavic languages are somewhat similar and i’d probably get the gist of a speech if i listened closely - and then i’d feel so embarassed about talking that i’d prefer to just ‘english through it’. though to be fair vol.2, ‘slavicness’ would probably come easier to me if i had taken russian or was at least able to read cyrillic ~~ [so, yes and no?]
