Not particularly: I hate the sound of my voice and there’s constant anxiety about whether I’m in the right place on the pretentiously animated—bored axis lol. I’m probably okay? I don’t know. Either way, I’ll continue reading aloud to myself: especially the texts I’m translating, especially poetry and the flowy kind of prose. Sound can be astonishingly effective.

Does spilling coffee on it and producing a whole new book made out of buffed-up, crinkly, light brown pages count? In that case, several.
